Hotel Wellness Brewery Monopol is located in the centre of Teplice, in a building with a long tradition – during the First Republic there was a cabaret Variete zum Schwan (Varieté Swan) and in the communist era a department store with delicacies called Monopol. The name Monopol was so familiar to the locals that we decided to keep it.

After a long consideration of what purpose we would use the building for, the idea of building a restaurant with its own beer came up. This idea was influenced by the emerging trend of small breweries.

The entire renovation of the building has been underway since 2012 with a great emphasis on the original look of the interior. In the spring of 2015 we successfully completed the restaurant with its own brewery, café and 12 hotel rooms. When you enter the brewery restaurant, you will be amazed by a huge hall with exquisitely renovated Art Nouveau ceilings in shades of brown and beige, which will truly take you back in time to the atmosphere of the First Republic nobility. 

As the demand for accommodation exceeded our supply, we decided to expand our accommodation capacity in 2018. In the summer of 2022, we completed the new part of MONOPOL, where we increased the capacity of the hotel by additional 25 rooms, a wellness centre and our own parking space. The new section also includes our second restaurant with an open grill kitchen and garden terrace.

As you can already guess, your experience with our beer certainly doesn’t end with the tasting. In fact, you can even bathe in it! Visit our luxurious wellness area, where you will find a great beer spa, a salt relaxation room and a sauna paradise with several types of saunas. You can enhance your relaxation with one of our massages and feel reborn when you leave.

If you are staying with us for an extended period of time, expect to be accomodated in elegant rooms, which are decorated in harmony with the historical elements of the hotel. Although it is in the centre of the town, you are a few steps away from the Šanov spa park and the Chateau garden, where you can feed the free-roaming squirrels, swans or just take a boat ride on the Chateau pond.
